INTRAMURALS 2026

I created the visual design titled “INTRAMURALS 2026” as a major project for my graphic design and digital media course, specifically tailored for the Saint Augustine Institute Intramurals 2026. The goal of the assignment was to step away from heavy, intense cinematic themes and instead focus on a clean, vector-style vector illustration that promotes sportsmanship, inclusivity, and campus unity. I structured it as an official promotional banner for the Student Council to announce the sporting events in a welcoming and visually modern format.

My primary objective with this layout was to shift the design direction completely toward a friendly, energetic, and highly organized vector-illustration style. Instead of dramatic cosmic elements, I centered the design around three diverse student athletes surrounded by a curated collection of sports icons, such as volleyball, football, tennis, and chess pieces. This intentional layout choices allows the banner to immediately communicate the variety of competitive events available, emphasizing that the intramurals are a celebration of all athletic and strategic talents across the institute.

To give the project a refreshing and unified aesthetic, I chose a soft violet color palette as the background, which adds a calm yet premium feel to the overall design. I integrated subtle, flowing gradients and warm bokeh light effects into the lavender backdrop to prevent it from looking flat, while surrounding the canvas with soft white cloud borders to frame the central elements beautifully. For the typography, I opted for a polished, golden 3D metallic font for the main “INTRAMURALS 2026” title, creating a striking contrast against the purple hues that instantly grabs the viewer’s attention.

Ultimately, I included the official institutional details, the presenting organization, and contact social media handles at the very bottom to maintain a highly professional and realistic layout hierarchy. Through this project, I wanted to prove to my instructor my versatility as a designer by demonstrating that I can create clean, illustrative, and corporate-level event branding without relying on dark or intense themes. It served as an excellent practical application of combining balanced vector iconography, character arrangement, and cohesive color theory to drive school spirit and student engagement.
